Art Education Consultant

I am an independent art educator with experience working both in public schools and art museums. I thrive on making art a conduit for individual reflection and greater understanding of the world around us. The following are the few ways I have achieved this during my career:

  • Developing the Art ASPIRE program at Fuller Craft Museum to bring young artists and students together for a 10-session art residency and mentoring program.
  • Working with a local pastor to develop a museum program where participants use contemporary art to explore spirituality through discussion and personal mediation on objects.
  • Giving students at Shaw Middle School in Philadelphia a sense of pride and ownership of their school by working with them to design and paint murals in their science wing.

I have numerous skills and experiences that can benefit your art institution or school including:

  • Ten years of working in art museums and developing exhibition-based programming for various audiences.
  • Teaching certification in K-12 art education and a proud background of teaching in public schools.
  • A grant writing track record resulting in over $433,000 in funding over the past eight years.
  • Volunteer and staff management including docent training.

I have a particular interest in serving small and mid-sized institutions who wish to take their programming to a new level of excellence. Please visit the other areas of this website for more on my background or contact me for additional information on how I can help you achieve your goals.
